The new design of resin cable joints from 3M Electrical features safer mould bodies along with the Scotchcast™ resin delivery system.
3M Resin Cable Joints offer reliability and fast installation. With the use of constant force springs, the need for difficult manipulation of armour wires is eliminated - resulting in a more efficient process.
Cable joints specially modified for onshore and offshore wind, solar, rail, oil/gas, data centre, battery storage and utility cables are available - suitable for direct burial (underground) or onto cable containment.

Resins are used as part of the process to create electrical cable joints for low, medium and high voltage applications.
2 part cable resin is quick to mix and pour using a Closed Pour delivery system – specialist cable jointing resins include hydrocarbon resistant, low smoke zero halogen, fire resistant and flame retardant.
The Scotchcast resin bag is designed to remove any chance of skin contact and reduce vapour inhalation from the resin itself, giving the user superb control over the resin mixing and pouring process and avoiding unnecessary spills and wastage.
3M LVI-3 Scotchcast resin cable joint kits are designed to be used for multi-pair or multi-core Power, Control & Instrumentation cables in explosive atmospheres (Zone 1 & Zone 2).
The cable joints include specially formulated 3M Scotchcast 1402FR resin – this resin is hydrocarbon resistant, flame retardant, halogen free and chemical resistant for use in hazardous area locations.
