LV2 – LV Live Mains Cable Jointing Course
This five-day course is aimed at an existing mate or electrician that has undertaken, or is in the process of undertaking, a suitable electrical qualification such as C&G 2322.
By the end of this LV2 – LV Live Mains Cable Jointing Course course delegates will be able to:

Understand and demonstrate personal safety including the basics of on-site safety requirements, hand tools, resins and personal hygiene

Evaluate electrical test results and demonstrate the use of instruments

Demonstrate they can complete a Wavecon mains straight joint

Demonstrate they can complete a Wavecon mains straight joint with crossed cores
-
Demonstrate they can complete a breeches joint – Wavecon mains cable three-phase
-
Demonstrate they can complete a pot end – Wavecon mains cable three-phase – single-phase service connection

Demonstrate they can complete a cut-out termination – Wavecon mains cable – three-phase

Demonstrate they can complete Wavecon sheath repairs

Individuals that undertake training and/or assessment on a scheme or programme have this training recorded against their EUSR registration.
Individuals are issued with a unique EUSR ID number as well as a photo ID card upon successful completion – this card also displays the training or skills recorded on EUSR against the individual which can be verified online. EUSR registration is valid for a fixed period of time, usually three years and individuals are required to renew their registrations by undertaking the relevant training once their registration has expired.”
