The STEL Rail range of insulated tools for the rail industry include insulated contractors forks with a strong yet lightweight fibreglass shaft tested and approved to BS8020 2011.

The insulated forks are tested to 1000V and are lightweight at just 2.5kg – compliant for use and certified to BS8020 the insulated contractors forks are authorised for use on Network Rail Managed Infrastructure in the UK.

BS8020 : 2011

When working near or adjacent to DC Conductor Rail (DCCR) up to 750 Volts only approved contractors forks and insulated tools should be used to control risk of accidental contact with the live conductor rail – British Standard BS8020 : 2011 provides advice about insulated hand tools for work on or near conductor rail systems operating at voltages up to 1000v a.c. of 1500 V d.c.
