The CableSafe® Dropped Objects Prevention Work Mat or simply ‘drop mat’ is a tool which is used on elevated gratings, catwalks and platforms. When working at height, dropping tools or other equipment poses a significant electrical safety hazard.

Typically, loose tools are tethered. However, objects that cannot be tethered are aplenty, for example: nuts, bolts, screws if dropped from height can potentially damage equipment or cause a fatality.

How Does The Drop Mat Work?

Work Mat can be secured with 14 strong magnets, which attaches to the grating. The magnets in the hem are rated for 84N each making it one of the strongest in the market to ensure that work mats are secured properly

Flame Retardant Matting

The CableSafe® Dropped Objects Prevention Work Mat is available with flame retardant coated polyester fabric. This flame retardant fabric is constructed of coated polyester mesh febric. This mesh is very strong and has a tear strength of 330N (DIN53363). The flame retardant work mats are available with spanners or with magnets.

Fire Resistant Matting

The CableSafe® Dropped Objects Prevention Work Mat is available with flame resistant material which is made of fibreglass double coated polyurethane. It can withstand temperatures of up to 550°C. The fire resistant mats are available with spanners or with magnets.
