Ripley FOKC are 5.75″ electrician Kevlar® scissors with cushioned ergonomic handles, designed to be used alongside a cable stripping tool used when stripping, jointing or terminating overhead lines and primary distribution cables.

The tool has a powerful cutting action and is able to make a great tin snip for cutting copper tape shield. Always use OSHA/ANSI or other industry approved eye protection when using tools. This tool is not to be used for purposes other than intended. Read carefully and understand instructions before using this tool.

NOTE: This tool has been specifically designed for the cutting of aramid yarn (also referred to as KEVLAR®) found in fibre optic cables. It is not intended for cutting the solid central strength member in fibre optic cables, coaxial cables, twisted pair or other communication or electrical cables. Use an industry approved cable gel cleaner or degreaser to clean residue on the cutting edges after use on cables containing water blocking gel.
