The 3M L-SB Shear Bolt Lugs are mechanical, tin-plated aluminium-alloy lugs designed for the termination of low and medium-voltage power cables up to 36 kV on underground distribution networks. The range covers IEC 60228 Class 1 and Class 2 conductors from 35sqmm to 630 sqmm, with four lug sizes providing wide cross-section coverage for both aluminium and copper conductors.
The L-SB lugs use torque-controlled aluminium alloy shear bolts with double shear-off heads, allowing fast and repeatable installation using only a standard socket spanner or wrench.
