• 11kV/110V AC Voltage Transformer fixed and moving portions for GEC VMX Switchgear despatched to a UK DNO on a same-day turnaround following a catastrophic failure in a distribution network Substation. Slaters Electricals provide a rapid-response to emergency power restoration enabled by extensive stocks of legacy and current technology switchgear and transformer spare parts at their 100,000 square foot facility.

Emergency deliveries of Power Distribution & Switchgear are achieved nationwide supported by the largest UK spares stocks and same day “load and run” delivery fleet.

Sonus XT – Compact Ultrasonic Testing Device for Preventive Maintenance ON MV HV Switchgear & Cables

The versatility of the Sonus XT makes it ideally suited to work with any plant maintenance program and the perfect complement to other Predictive Maintenance (PDM) Technology.

The ultrasonic testing device is easy to use converting ultrasound into audible signals showing instantaneous and maximum sound level readings in decibels.

Ultrasound detection can be utilised to transmit early warning signs that detect faults on connections in cabinets and OHL (when using the parabolic dish – available as an optional extra). Inspections can be performed quickly and safely by plant personnel with minimal training. Fast and accurate diagnosis of problems using the Sonus XT will save you time and money.

The Sonus XT can quickly and safely perform closed panel airborne ultrasound inspections of electrical equipment including Switchgear, Switchboards, Panelboards, Transformers, Motor Control Centers and Process Equipment Panels to detect early warning signs including: Arcing, Tracking and Corona.

➡ Please note Sonus XT detects PD at above 5kV as it definitely won’t work on LV systems.
