Prysmian Bicon Brass CW 419CE cable glands are high voltage cable glands for SWA cables when the highest fault current capabilities are required.
Brass CW 419CE cable glands are suitable for galvanized-steel single-wire armour plastic or rubber sheathed cables and can be used in most climatic conditions (weatherproof and waterproof).

MV HV Cable Terminations
Prysmian Bicon Brass CW 419CE cable gland kits comply with BS EN 50262 & BS 6121-1: 1989. Suitable for use with all Steel Wire Armoured Cables inc: BS 5467, BS 6622, BS 5308 – stranded copper conductors can be terminated using Cembre crimp or Pfisterer shearbolt cable lugs. Integral earth connection complies with GDCD 190 Category A – (43.3kA for 1 second). CW cable gland rated to IP66 with use of suitable sealing washer or thread sealant at gland interface.
CuZn39Pb3 brass alloy is used for guaranteed performance – the gland kit is suitable for service temperatures from -20ºC to +90ºC.
