BW Cable Glands
Prysmian Bicon BW cable glands are low smoke zero halogen cable glands for the rapid termination of steel wire LSOH armoured cables.
BW cable gland kits are used for galvanised steel single wire armour plastic or rubber sheathed cables in dry, dust free and non-hazardous areas – the BW gland kit includes:
- BW Cable Gland
- Brass Earth Tag
- Brass Locknut
- PVC Shroud (2 per kit up to and including 25mm gland size)

LV Cable Terminations
Prysmian Bicon BW cable gland kits comply with BS6121-1:2005. Suitable for glanding SWA armoured cables including BS 6724 – stranded copper conductors can be terminated using Cembre crimp or Pfisterer shearbolt cable lugs. Complies with LU Standard 1-085 for installation in all sub-surface locations, BS 6121-1: 2005 and LUL APR Product ID 1968.

CuZn39Pb3 brass alloy is used for guaranteed performance – the gland kit is suitable for service temperatures from -20ºC to +90ºC.

Terminating Low Voltage Cables
Prysmian cable gland kits available in brass, aluminium, nickel plated or stainless steel for cable termination of wire armoured, wire braided and unarmoured cables, including low smoke zero halogen cables in industrial non-hazardous areas. Flameproof and explosion proof Ex e/Ex d hazardous area cable glands with ATEX and IECEx certifications also available.
