CW Aluminium Cable Glands

Prysmian Bicon CW cable glands are low smoke zero halogen cable glands for use with LS0H aluminium wire armoured cables and are LUL approved industrial cable glands.

CW cable gland kits are used for galvanised steel single wire armour plastic or rubber sheathed cables in dry, dust free and non-hazardous areas – the CW gland kit includes:

  • CW-AL Cable Gland
  • Aluminium Earth Tag
  • Aluminium Locknut
  • LSOH Low Smoke Zero Halogen Shroud (2 per kit up to and including 25mm gland size)

LV Cable Terminations

Prysmian Bicon CW cable gland kits comply with BS EN 50262 & BS 6121-1: 1989. Suitable for glanding all Aluminium wire armoured cables inc: BS 6724, BS 7835 – stranded copper conductors can be terminated using Cembre crimp or Pfisterer shearbolt cable lugs. Constructed using 6082-T6 Alluminium alloy. CW cable gland rated to IP66 with use of suitable sealing washer or thread sealant at gland interface.

Terminating Low Voltage Cables

Prysmian cable gland kits available in brass, aluminium, nickel plated or stainless steel for cable termination of wire armoured, wire braided and unarmoured cables, including low smoke zero halogen cables in industrial non-hazardous areas. Flameproof and explosion proof Ex e/Ex d hazardous area cable glands with ATEX and IECEx certifications also available.
