Nexans Fire Resistant Tape also referred to as G.I.N.G.E.R is specifically designed to protect LV, MV, and HV joints and cables against fire in applications where where low smoke emission and resistance to fire is needed. Cables or cable joints can be simply and quickly overwrapped with the fire resistant tape to provide protection against fire spread or flame progation according to the international standards listed below.

INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS
The fire resistant tape has been tested according to the following international standards:
- IEC/EN 60332-1-2 / NFC 32070 cat C2
- EN 50399 (CPR) (Euroclass B2ca, s1a, a1, d0)
- NF C 32070 cat C1 (Propagation requirement lower than 30 cm)
- FT4/IEEE1202
- IEC/EN 60754-2 (Halogen Free)
- IEC/EN 61034-2 (Low Smoke)
➡ As well as the fire resistant tape, T&D also offer the Nexans Fire Resistant Blanket designed with different layers of material to withstand high temperatures and is suitable to protect low, medium and high voltage cables from the destructive effects of fire.
