Monel Banding & Strapping
Monel, inconel and titanium banding and strapping systems manufactured by BAND-IT are specified for various marine, offshore and subsea fastening applications. The two main types of Subsea Cable Strapping & Clamping Straps are Monel 400 Banding and Inconel 625.
Monel 400 Strapping & Banding
A nickel-copper alloy with high strength and excellent corrosion resistance in a range of media including sea water, hydrofluoric acid, sulfuric acid and alkalies. Monel 400 metal banding is used for marine engineering, chemical and hydrocarbon processing equipment, valves, pumps, shafts, fittings, fasteners and heat exchangers.
Inconel 625 Strapping & Banding
A nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with an addition of niobium that acts with the molybdenum to stiffen the alloys matrix and provide high strength without a strengthening heat treatment. Inconel 625 strapping alloy resists a wide range of severely corrosive environments and is especially resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion.
Used in chemical processing, aerospace, marine and subsea, pollution-control equipment and nuclear reactors. Inconel 625 metal banding strapping systems are specified for subsea diver-less clamp connections.
