Single Core Outdoor Cable Termination

These 3M QTIII type cable terminations utilise Cold Shrink technology to terminate and connect MV HV cables – 3M 92-EP623-2 is a high voltage cold shrink cable termination suitable for connecting single core polymeric (XLPE EPR) insulated cables up to 11kV with copper tape screen / armoured / lead sheathed.

3M 92-EP623-2 terminations meet and exceed the requirements of the CENELEC HD 629.1 European standard as well as IEC 60502-4.

Cable termination suits 11kV cables with 50sqmm, 70sqmm, 95sqmm single core conductors and are suitable for installation onto outdoor pole mounted supports and brackets up to 11kV.

3M 92-EP623-2 cable terminations include copper tape screen earthing kit – the 11kV cable conductors can be terminated using either crimp cable lugs or shearbolt lugs.

Installation

3M cold shrink technology ensures quick, easy and safe installation of the QTIII Termination Body by pulling and unwinding the plastic support core in counter clockwise direction. Use of special tools is not necessary. Detailed instructions for installing the 3M QTIII Series Terminations are included in each kit.
