Single Door GRP feeder pillars are single skin type manufactured from self-extinguishing, fire retardant resin to Class 2 BS 476 Part 2 for low maintenance and non-corrosion performance.
The full range of GRP feeder pillars are available with optional features including mounting boards, additional insulation, stainless steel door furniture, multiple lock choices, Cat flap, cable gland plates, ventilation, NICEIC electrical installation, integral floors and viewing windows.
Low Maintenance & Non Corrosive
GRP Electrical Pillars & Cabinets are manufactured in the UK to highest standard to protect LV electrical distribution, instrumentation, pump sets, rail cabinets and control panels in the utility industries – the cabinets are provided with optional cylinder night latch lock or a hasp and staple and can be pre-fitted with plywood backboard for mounting equipment. Manufactured from Single Skin GRP (Glass Reinforced Polymer) using self-extinguishing fire retardant resin to Class 2 BS 476 Part 2. Standard colours of stock cabinets available are BS 5252 14-C-39 Green and 10-A-07 Grey, though the full BS 5252 or RAL range is available.
Featuring stainless-steel hinges, secure lockable doors, IP55 dust and water protection and a UV stabilised gel coat finish – all GRP feeder pillars and electrical cabinets are available in sixteen standard sizes, with either a semi-gloss green or grey finish. Thorne & Derrick can arrange fabrication and delivery of LPCB security rated products tested and certified to the LPS 1175 standard, independently tested by BRE, offering security levels SR2, SR3 and SR4 – this includes steel enclosures, GRP enclosures and single and double door sets.
