This range of porcelain bushings are high specification bushings for use on Power Transformers.

They are robustly built and feature enhanced over-voltage capability.

The power bushings range meets the requirements set by ISO 60137 standards.

Designation – Oil/Air – Outdoors.
Compliance Standards – BS EN ISO 60137 –Insulated bushings for alternating voltages above 1000 V.
Available Designs – FF – Free-flow which utilises the transformer’s own dielectric fluid and SC – Self contained which has its own oil conservator. Usually the power bushings are vertically mounted, however most can be used in horizontal position. For some voltages we are able to provide high current (HC) and very high current (VHC) versions.
Insulators – The insulator is one-piece ceramic porcelain with anti-fog / high creepage design. Standard porcelain colour is Brown. Grey porcelain is also available – Contact T&D for lead times
Termination – Most bushings are supplied with plain terminals enabling connection via flag, palm or block connectors. Lower current versions can be supplied with screwed terminals if required.
Metalwork – The conductors are electro-tin plated. All fixings and fasters are anti-corrosion plated.
Fixings – Power bushings are supplied fitted with an aluminium flange with fixing holes drilled to accept transformer cover studs.

Webster-Wilkinson offer a complete range of bushings which utilise porcelain insulation designed for use in power transformers, distribution transformers and pole mounted transformers operating at LV MV HV electrical voltages.

Porcelain insulation is a proven technology which provides low cost, long life and maintenance-free solutions which can withstand all environmental conditions.

For a given operating voltage porcelain insulators can be provided with varying creepage distances depending on environmental conditions.

Porcelain bushings are normally supplied with brown glaze however if required, they can be given a grey glaze. All bushings meet the requirements of BS EN ISO 60137 Standards.
