The Pfisterer Earthing Link Box with SVLs, available in LBM S1, S2 & S3 Types are designed for reliable cross bonding and earthing concepts, which are made through removable links. Offering a robust wall type design, withstanding harsh operating conditions and contributes to high availability of plants.
Pfisterer’s LBM S1, S2, S3 Types of Earthing Link Boxes (registered National Grid types) contain arrestors, functioning as Sheath Voltage Limiters (SVLs), based on the bonding requirements. The SVL is a non-linear resistor protective device having characteristics of a high impedance to currents flow when the voltage across it is low, but extremely low resistance when the voltage is high.

132kV Link Boxes | MV HV Power Cables & Systems
The MV HV Link Boxes are paired and installed with cold/heat shrink MV HV Cable Joints & Terminations on medium voltage or high voltage power systems, providing ease of access to shield breaks for test purposes, as well as limiting voltage build-up on the sheath. Technically better known as “Disconnectable Link Box” for its sound design and construction features make for an ideal MV or HV underground power cable system accessory, alongside other essential MV HV accessories, such as Cable Lugs, Cable Connectors & Screened Separable Connectors. Link Boxes are also electrically and mechanically one of the integral accessories of HV underground cable Bonding Systems, associated with HV XLPE power cable systems.
