Ripley WS 49 is a 5kV Airport Lighting Cable End Stripper and Pencilling Tool which is used when splicing, jointing and terminating both HV and LV overhead power, transmission and distribution cables.
The WS 49 is used to taper cut #4 and #8 AWG diameter, 5KV L-824 Type C airport lighting cable. The WS 49 creates 0.5 in (12.70mm) taper cuts with long lasting, guarded cutting blades.

- Bushings compensate for cable diameters of 0.395″, 0.42″, 0.445″ & 0.49″
- Guarded blade provides safety & prevents injury to the cable splicers/jointers
- Cable preparation tool provides a cable strip length of 0.75″ (19.05mm) & pencil length of 0.5″ (12.7mm)
