VISARC |Arc Flash Helmet with Integrated Face Shield
Customisable Arc-flash Head & Face Protection, VISARC allows electrical safety teams to select the required helmet protection level before adding suitable electronics, visibility features, coloured crest sections, branding and worksite accessories. Its integrated construction is intended to provide coordinated protection against the thermal effects of an electric arc, UV radiation, molten-metal projection, high-speed particles, electrical contact and mechanical impact.
The helmet’s patented face-protection system combines a distortion-controlled shield with rigid retractable chin and lateral coverage on compatible configurations. This supports clear vision, practical deployment and a more integrated alternative to separately mounted headlamps and traditional textile chin-protection arrangements.
Optional Voltage Detection Integrity for Advanced Electrical Protection

VISARC & ALADIN | The ALADIN is a clip-on personal voltage detector and headlamp combination mountable to the VISARC helmet. Designed to protect workers near medium-to-high voltage alternating current (AC) equipment across 11kV to 66kV (up to 400kV).

Colour Crest Options for Identification & Customisation
Arc Flash Helmets | Range Overview
The range includes the VISARC V1 APC1 helmet, rated at 4kA for 0.5 seconds; the VISARC V2-12-LPP APC2 helmet, rated at 7kA for 0.5 seconds with an ATPV of 12cal/cm²; and the VISARC V2-25-LPP APC2 helmet, rated at 7kA for 0.5 seconds with an ATPV of 25cal/cm². These are three distinct arc flash helmet types and should be selected according to the applicable arc-flash risk assessment and required protection level. Depending on the chosen model and configuration, VISARC can also incorporate the patented retractable BEARD chin and lateral protection, integrated dual-beam lighting, rear red visibility LEDs, personal alarm or voltage-detection functions, coloured crest options, company branding and compatible workplace accessories.
PENTA VISARC Electrical Safety Helmet for Arc Flash Protection
The PENTA VISARC Arc Flash Helmet is an integrated electrical head and face protection system developed for electricians, cable jointers, utility engineers and other professionals working where an electric arc may expose the wearer to extreme heat, ultraviolet radiation, molten-metal projection and high-speed particles.
Rather than combining a standard safety helmet with separately mounted protective components, VISARC brings the helmet shell, face shield, optional or integrated chin protection and selectable electronic functions together within one coordinated platform. This supports a secure fit, clear vision and practical operation in demanding electrical working environments.
Three VISARC Arc Flash Helmet Types
The VISARC range is available in three distinct helmet types. Each version provides a defined arc-flash protection level and must be selected according to the applicable risk assessment, incident-energy requirement and site electrical safety procedures.
VISARC V1 APC1 provides arc-flash protection rated at 4kA for 0.5 seconds. It is fitted with a colourless face shield, while the rigid retractable BEARD chin and lateral protection is available as an option.
VISARC V2-12-LPP APC2 provides protection rated at 7kA for 0.5 seconds with an ATPV of 12cal/cm². This version uses a light grey tinted face shield and includes integrated retractable BEARD protection.
VISARC V2-25-LPP APC2 provides protection rated at 7kA for 0.5 seconds with an increased ATPV of 25cal/cm². It also incorporates a light grey tinted face shield and integrated chin and lateral protection.
Patented Retractable BEARD Protection
The patented BEARD is a rigid, retractable chin and lateral protection assembly designed to complete coverage beneath and around the lowered face shield. Two integrated side rails guide its movement, helping achieve controlled positioning and close overlap with the visor.
Unlike a loose textile protector, the BEARD retracts into the helmet when it is not deployed and provides a wipe-clean protective surface. It is optional with the VISARC V1 APC1 helmet and incorporated into both VISARC APC2 helmet types.
Optical Class 1 Arc Flash Face Shield
The ergonomic polycarbonate face shield is designed to protect the eyes and face against the thermal effects of an arc-flash event, including heat, UV radiation, molten-metal particles and high-speed impact. Its patented optical technology is engineered to reduce prismatic and astigmatic distortion, helping preserve the apparent position, shape and size of objects within the wearer’s field of view.
The shield provides Optical Class 1 performance for extended wear and incorporates an anti-fog treatment internally and scratch-resistant treatment externally. This supports clearer vision and helps reduce visual fatigue during inspection, maintenance, switching and other detailed electrical tasks.
Double-Shell Electrical Protection
VISARC uses a double-shell ABS construction developed to support protection against electrical, arc-flash and mechanical hazards. The helmet is certified to EN 397 and EN 50365 Class 2, while the complete helmet and face-shield system is tested for arc-flash performance using box-test and open-arc methods.
A six-point textile harness, wide sweatband and precise push-pull ratchet provide adjustment across a head-size range of 53–63cm. The four-point quick-release chinstrap and rear adjustment control are designed for practical operation while wearing electrical insulating gloves.
Customisable VISARC Helmet System
Once the required arc-flash helmet type has been selected, VISARC can be configured with coloured crest sections, integrated dual-beam lighting, rear red visibility LEDs, personal alarm or voltage-detection functions, company identification and compatible worksite accessories.
These customisable features are selected separately from the V1, V2-12-LPP or V2-25-LPP protection level, allowing organisations to create a helmet configuration suited to the wearer’s working environment, visibility requirements and company PPE policy.

Customise Your VISARC Arc Flash Helmet
After selecting the required VISARC V1, V2-12-LPP or V2-25-LPP protection level, the helmet can be configured with onboard electronics, coloured crest components, company identification and practical accessories. These options allow the VISARC system to be adapted to different electrical tasks, working environments and corporate PPE requirements.
The arc-flash protection rating is determined by the selected helmet type. Electronics, colours, branding and accessories are additional configuration choices and do not alter the certified protection level of the helmet itself.

VISARC Arc Flash Helmet – Additional Information
An arc flash can expose electrical workers to intense heat, ultraviolet radiation, molten-metal particles, pressure effects and potentially serious burns. The PENTA VISARC Arc Flash Helmet has been developed as an integrated head and face protection system, combining mechanical helmet performance, electrical insulation, optical clarity and selectable arc-flash protection within one configurable design.
VISARC is available as three separate helmet types: the V1 APC1, the V2-12-LPP APC2 with an ATPV of 12cal/cm², and the V2-25-LPP APC2 with an ATPV of 25cal/cm². The appropriate model must be selected from the task-specific arc-flash assessment and used with compatible arc-rated clothing, gloves and other required PPE.
