3M 93-EP Series | 3M Electrical | Cold Shrink Cable Connections
3M Electrical QTIII type cable terminations utilise Cold Shrink technology to terminate and connect MV HV cables – 3M 93-EP is a medium voltage cold shrink cable termination suitable for connecting single core polymeric (XLPE EPR) insulated cables up to 12/20(24)kV with copper wire screen (CWS – Unarmoured) or copper tape screen (CTS) and aluminium wire armour (AWA).
The 3M 93-EP Series Termination kits suit medium voltage (MV) power cables (up to 24kV) with a conductor cross section application range of 25sqmm-630sqmm (Copper & Aluminium).
3M QTIII Series Terminations including 3M 93-EP Series kits are not subject to the European WEEE and RoHS Directives but meet their requirements.
3M QTIII from the 93-EP Termination Series are designed for use with 12/20(24)kV single core polymeric MV power cable systems according to HD 620 (IEC 60502).
3M 93-EP Series Terminations include the Cold Shrink QTIII Silicone Termination Body with integrated stress control tube, stress control mastic, silicone elastomeric insulation and built in moisture sealing mastic layer – the version for copper tape screen cable termination variant includes additional screen connection components and is also suitable for armoured cables (AWA) when used in conjunction with a cable gland kit.

Cable Termination Installation
3M Cold Shrink technology ensures quick, easy and safe installation of the QTIII Termination Body by pulling and unwinding the plastic support core in counter clockwise direction. Use of special tools is not necessary. Detailed instructions for installing the 3M QTIII Series Terminations are included in each kit.
