Single Core Indoor Cable Termination

These 3M QTIII type cable terminations utilise Cold Shrink technology to terminate and connect MV HV cables – 3M 92-EP629-1 is a high voltage cold shrink cable termination suitable for connecting single core polymeric (XLPE EPR) insulated cables up to 11kV with copper tape screen / armour.

Cable termination suits 11kV cables with 50sqmm, 70sqmm, 95sqmm single core conductors and is suitable for installation within indoor/enclosed environments such as medium/high voltage air insulated cable boxes up to 11kV.

92-EP629-1 cable terminations include copper tape screen earthing kit – the 11kV cable conductors can be terminated using either crimp cable lugs or shearbolt lugs.

3M QTIII Series Terminations are not subject of the European WEEE and RoHS Directives but meet their requirements – complete range of Cold Shrink joints are available for the repair and connection of medium/high voltage power cable networks at 11kV/33kV.

Installation

3M cold shrink technology ensures quick, easy and safe installation of the QTIII Termination Body by pulling and unwinding the plastic support core in counter clockwise direction. Use of special tools is not necessary. Detailed instructions for installing the 3M QTIII Series Terminations are included in each kit.
