The Hawke 501/453 Universal (UNIV) J is a size M100 Group II Certified double seal cable gland designed for installation in Zone 1/21 and Zone 2/22 hazardous areas. The Hawke 501/453/UNIV range is dual certified to ATEX & IECEx Standards (among others), making it suitable for use in Increased Safety (Exe), Flameproof (Exd), Restricted Breathing (ExnR), and Dust (Ext) explosion protection concepts.
Designed with an integral grounding ring, the Hawke 501/453 UNIV J Cable Gland accommodates a range of armour types:

All Hawke cable gland dimensions in millimetres (except * where dimensions are in inches)
Os – F size metric entry threads are 1.5mm pitch as standard, 15mm length of thread
G – J size metric entry threads are 2mm pitch as standard, 20mm length of thread
G – J size are only available in the 501/453/RAC design style
1 Smaller value is applicable when selecting reduced NPT entry option.
2 Sizes Os and O cable glands are available with an M16 thread size. For O size with M16 thread, the maximum cable inner sheath diameter is 10.9mm.
