Concrete Marker Blocks

Precast concrete cable marker blocks are primarily used for cable protection to aid in the location and identification of electric cables and other utility services which are buried underground – marker blocked manufactured from concrete can also be used alongside cable protection covers to mark boundaries and other reference points.

Cable marker blocks and c oncrete cable covers are made from precast concrete and are manufactured and tested in accordance with BS 1881 standards – the range is available in a variety of standard sizes with various legends, however any size or wording can be produced on application.

Cable marker Block types

Marker Blocks are manufactured in accordance with BS 1881 and standard blocks are listed in the table opposite.

Where applicable blocks have a recess on the underside which houses a 6mm galvanised bar to enable cable draw ropes etc. to be attached.

The standard recess size for identification plates is 100mm x 75mm.

Any other requirements can be made to order.

Cable Covers

LV MV HV cable covers, Tapetiles and underground warning tapes are installed over LV, MV and HV power cables in trench and ducted cable installations with high visibility colour providing a visual warning of danger when excavating cables. 11kV and 33kV cable protection tapes (Tapetile tiles and Stokbord covers) are manufactured from heavy duty plastic for reliable protection of underground medium voltage (MV) and high voltage (HV) cables.

Stokbord cable covers are utility protection tiles approved and specified by international energy and electricity providers. Cable covers are highly visible and prevent damage to buried high voltage cables and other services including gas, water and telecoms.
