The Klauke EK50ML is a battery powered cable strip, cut & crimping tool that is part of the Klauke Micro range which is an all rounder when it comes to cable stripping. Using the stripping dies there is now, for the first time, an electromechanical tool available on the market for stripping conductors from 6 to 35sqmm cross-section.
Until now, users could only strip cables in the range up to 16sqmm by applying physical force – either with manual wire stripping tools or with a knife. Compared to manual stripping with pliers, the Klauke EK50ML micro-strip is much faster and much safer to work with.
The Klauke EK50ML Electromechanical Crimping Tool is a speedy, simple-to-use, safe crimping tool that can be adjusted for a variety of applications. Due to its highly controlled action, the EK50ML also produces more accurate and consistent results than are possible using a hand-operated tool.

Using the cable stripping dies, the Klauke micro becomes a tool that achieves consistently clean results – with considerably less force and significantly less strain on the joints.
Klauke Micro-Strip
It might be impossible using wire strippers but it‘s no problem for the Klauke micro-strip: large cross-sections up to 35 mm² can also be stripped as well as thick insulation (NSFGAÖU), double-insulated cable types plus harder and tougher insulation.
In many applications – for example in switch cabinet construction – stripping and cutting of cables are often completed simultaneously. By use of the integrated cutting die inside the stripping die, conductors of all classes can be cut, regardless of whether they are solid, stranded or fine-stranded.
Left & Right-Handed Variant

Then no need to worry, with the Klauke micro-strip it‘s no problem. The die can be used by both left- and righthanded people by changing the installation direction accordingly.
Cable stripping TOOL function
The cutting cones are guided and connected by pins (screws) and pretensioned into the initial position by compression springs.
- When the tool is operated, the die bodies approach each other and the cutting cones cut into the cable
- Further activation of the tool causes the cones to move axially and strip off the jacket
The stripping length can be adjusted using the stop sleeve, thus ensuring consistent quality.

New Klauke Tooling Function
Thanks to the new S502 cutting die, the Klauke micro gains a whole new function. A simple change of die now transforms the Klauke micro into a cutting tool. This makes it possible to cut double-loop chains, Class 2 cables up to 25 sqmm, copper busbars up to 3 mm × 10 mm, or steel cables up to 3 mm.
The die is designed to make cutting of copper, aluminium and steel bands no trouble at all. This is facilitated as well by pre-clamping to ensure cutting begins at the right location and goes easy on the operator’s arm thanks to the motor-driven technology.
