Ripley WS 5 End Strippers are used when splicing, jointing and terminating both HV and LV overhead power, transmission and distribution cables. The WS 5 is used for precision stripping of insulation only or insulation and semi-con simultaneously and can strip XLPE, polyethylene & EPR insulation.

The jointing tool is used by splicers and cable jointers and is ideal for primary URD cable and can be used on cable outer diameters from 6.60-32.13mm 600V to 35kV. The WS5 end stripper permits accurate pre-set stripping lengths of up to 101.60mm and a guarded cutting blade prevents injury.

Precision tool engineered to strip XLPE, polyethylene & EPR insulations up to 400 mils thick from primary URD cable diameters of 0.26″ to 1.335″ (6.6 to 33.9 mm)
Provides insulation only or simultaneous insulation & semi-con stripping operations
Guarded cutting blade prevents injury & protects the blade
Bushings accommodate various insulation & semi-con diameters for medium voltage cables
Compatible with the with the SW 2 Series Ratchet Wrench for greater leverage
Stop bar measurements are available in customary or metric units
