Coldfit Terminations for High Voltage Cables

Coldfit cable terminations manufactured by Prysmian are quick and easy to install, offering high reliability and excellent performance for both indoor and outdoor use – the installation procedure does not require heat-shrinking for the safe and reliable electrical connection and energisation of medium voltage power systems at 11kV.

The high voltage cable terminations include built in high permittivity stress controlling cold fit material and once installed, the 11kV cable termination offers excellent insulation levels and lower surface stress which results in a more compact termination for high voltage cables.

For outdoor use the cable terminations have moulded-in rain sheds which are designed to let water run off when installed in an upright position when installed in a pole-mounted location or exposed to environmental conditions.

Earthing Kits For Copper Tape Screen & Lead Sheath Cables

The following information enables the selection of cable termination accessories for us with the Prysmian Coldfit range with copper tape screened and/or lead sheathed 11kV power cables.

Coldfit Cable Terminations 11kV  Accessories

For indoor 11kV cable terminations:

• ESS-24 – Right angle or straight indoor insulation bushing boots 11kV (set of 3)
• MTHG1 – Top hat cable gland (3 core cables) 35-95sqmm – Size X
• MTHG2 – Top hat cable gland (3 core cables) 120-300sqmm – Size Y

• For single core armoured cables with aluminium wire armour (AWA) an integral earth gland is available

For outdoor 11kV cable terminations:

• HSI-32 – Support insulators for 11kV systems (set of 3)
