Cable Socks

These cable socks are ideal for fibre optic applications including offshore or for a multitude of uses in the electrical industry to dramatically improve weight to break ratio during cable pulling operations.

Slingco’s non-metallic pulling grips are made of a high-strength, non-metallic aramid fibre, with UV protective coating and are suitable for pulling both single cable and cable bundles.

These woven mesh grips offer a non-metallic alternative to steel and the non-metallic material is easy to work with even without gloves.

When pulling synthetic rope it is recommended to use a Slingco Feed tube to simplify the process of inserting the rope into the cable sock – the cable socks are non-metallic.

To avoid the effects of torsion a line pulling swivel that rotates under load should be used with the cable pulling grips.

Complete range of overhead line conductor and underground cable pulling socks are available for LV 33kV, MV 66kV 132kV and HV 275-400kV power networks.
