Techlube manufactured by Socomore is a range of water-based, biodegradable cable pulling lubricants that provide maximum friction reduction and regular pulling tensions, reducing the risk of cable damage – different chemical formulations of lubricant are available for various LV-HV power and fibre optic type cable pulling and cable blowing applications.

Techlube are biodegradable, non toxic, water based cable lubricants – protective clothing is not required and the lubricant does not threaten the environment. In the event of a spillage the spill can be disposed by simple flushing to drain. The cable lubricants are easy to apply prior to pulling-in cables: application is by hand or manual pouring onto cable. Lubricant pumping or application by cone feeder system is an option – contact us for lubrication requirements for LV (1000 Volts), MV (11kV 33kV), HV (66kV) and EHV (132kV – 400kV) power cable installation projects.
Techlube HD Product Description
Techlube is used to lubricate cables and can also be applied to wet cables and cable ducts flooded with water – the lubricant dries slowly leaving a thin film (less than 6% solids by weight remains after complete evaporation at room temperature) which is non-flammable and maintains the lubricating potential for several months.
Standard grade Techlube will not separate or lose performance qualities in either hot weather or after undergoing freeze/thaw cycles.
Techlube is specified for use at temperatures from -5°C up to 60°C. Winter formula cable pulling lubricants are available for lower temperature operations.
The product does not contain any salt, detergent, paraffin or grease which can degrade cable jackets or cause hot spots.
Techlube HD | the cable lubricant can be applied manually by hand or electrically pumped directly and evenly onto the cable, the cling and stringy consistency assists the transfer of the Techlube into the cable duct. The water-based underground cable lubricant with high viscosity is used for installing heavy power and complex cable routes and pulls (LV HV). Techlube HD has a process temperature of -5 to 60° Celsius and can be applied by brushing, pimping or manual pour.
