ULTIMA Access Chamber

ULTIMA
Access Chambers | Cubis Stakkabox
ULTIMA is the next generation in Access Chamber Systems from the STAKKABOX range of access chambers. The Ultima Access Chamber features flexible access with no compromise on strength with strong Glass-reinforced plastic. ULTIMA should be used anywhere where sidewall loading is a concern, such as alongside highways or railway tracks; the design and material used makes these suitable applications.
How do access chambers work? STAKKAbox™ ULTIMA access chambers are manufactured in 150mm deep sections that stack one on top of each other to reach the desire depth – ring sections are castellated to positively interlock with the unit above and below.
The ULTIMA Chamber System features a twinwall sectional design that is made up of GRP material. Most 150mm deep sections fall under 25kg in weight, making it suitable for a single person lift under manual handling regulations.

Features & Benefits
Variability in Size
ULTIMA offers a huge range of access chamber dimensions thanks to the large number of standard sections and the variability offered by the ULTIMA system. STAKKAbox™ ULTIMA can be used to create any access chamber clear opening, due to the versatility of the product.
Lightweight
Due to the sectional twinwall design and the GRP material, most 150mm deep sections fall under 25kg in weight, making them suitable for a single person lift under manual handling regulations. The lightweight material allows for fast and efficient installation.
Fast and Easy to Install
Stakkabox™ chambers are significantly faster to install than conventional alternatives, with complete installations typically taking up to one hour; resulting in reduced costs and significant time saving. Specialist equipment is not needed, except for when the largest chamber sizes are used. Therefore, Stakkabox ULTIMA access chambers can be trusted to do the job quickly and efficiently.
FLEXIBLE during installation
Chambers can be adapted to suit on-site conditions with standard tools to build over existing networks. The adaptability of these access chambers on site is comparatively more compliant with typical requirements against traditional inspection chambers on the market.
high Strength
Stakkabox™ ULTIMA encompasses significantly lighter material than conventional access chambers – providing the same inherent strength.
fire RETARDANT
Ultima has low smoke properties meaning that it can be used in enclosed areas, such as tunnels and underground transport, as it won’t catch fire.
Smooth Outer Walls
Gaps in the outer wall will negatively impact the effectiveness of compaction around the chamber. STAKKAbox™ chambers have smooth outer walls and an outer lip which keys into the backfill.
Sectional & Twin Wall Design
With 150mm sections combined to build the required depth, chambers are tailored to specific needs. The individual sections, thanks to the twinwall design, are light meaning they can be manually lifted. Each access chamber possesses vertical and horizontal ribs, resulting in a product that is strong vertically and on the sidewall. For most applications, ULTIMA doesn’t require specialist backfills, which reduces installation costs.
How The ULTIMA Access chamber Works
These chambers are constructed by stacking 150mm deep ring sections to reach the desired height. Each ring section is castellated to positively interlock with the unit above and below.
Due to the sectional twinwall design and the GRP material, most ULTIMA 150mm deep sections fall under 25kg in weight, making it suitable for a single person lift under manual handling regulations.

Chamber Materials
GRP Access Chambers
The ULTIMA access chamber is made from Glass-reinforced plastic (GRP), which is a composite material. It consists of fibre-reinforced polymer made of a plastic, reinforced by fine fibres made of glass.
Access Chamber Sizes
STAKKAbox™ ULTIMA can be used to create virtually any conceivable access chamber clear opening.
Cubis offers a huge range of chamber dimensions due to the large number of standard sections and the variability offered by the system.
ULTIMA chamber sizes have been selected to be reflective of the most commonly used traditional access chamber sizes. This makes ULTIMA an ideal retrofit solution for existing networks, minimising site disruption and installation costs.
Load Rating
STAKKAbox™ ULTIMA is suitable for installation in environments rated to E600 under EN124.
Suitable for areas imposing high wheel loads, e.g. docks, aircraft pavements.
