Cable Cleats For Triplex Cables

The Triplex Cable Surround can be incorporated within a single cable cleat to secure three single core cables which are spirally twisted together (triplex cable).

The triplex cable cleat surround is manufactured from LSF zero halogen polymeric material. The surround overcomes the twist in the cable to allow triplex cable cleating at any point along the length.

UK Patent GB 238 9970 and tested in line with EN 50368.

Triplex Cable Range

NOTE: SFT2F+XX part numbers refer to a deeper SFT+ moulding to be used with 2F+ and 2A clamps, see below for more detail.

Maximum short circuit test level (within 2F Clamps), 76kA at 600mm cleat spacing.

Cable Cleats

The standard duty compact Vulcan Cleats manufactured by Ellis Patents is a stainless steel cable cleat for the retention and short-circuit protection of cables in single, trefoil, quad or Triplex formation. The Ellis Vulcan+ cable cleat has been designed, developed, tested and manufactured in accordance with IEC 61914 (Cable Cleats for Electrical Installations).

The cleat is available in a range of sizes with range taking ability to suit MV HV medium/high voltage cables –  the frame of the cleat is manufactured from corrosion resistant 316L grade stainless steel, the cable is supported by a liner manufactured form a low smoke zero halogen (LSOH) material.
