Alroc Pintel 3 tool is used to strip and remove the cable jacket sheath from fibre optic cables prior to splicing and terminating FO cable.
The cable stripping tool must be used when the cable is out of tension by skilled workers, splicers or cable jointers who are competent with cable preparation – it is obligatory that the user of the Alroc Pintel 3 tool wears anti-cut gloves to provide adequate electrical safety and worker protection.
The cable jacket stripping tool must be cleaned after every use by the operator.
Preparation of Cable Stripping Tool
Remove the security (1) and then loosen the knurled nut (2) from the stripping tool.
Open the cable pliers and then with the rod (3) displace the exocentric until the stop point (4).
Position the pliers on the cable
Position the cable on the guiding rollers (5).
Penetrate the cutting blade (6).
With the rod (3) place the rollers in support in the cable lodging (7) then tighten the knurled nut (2).
Separate carrier
Put the security (1) then pull out in the direction of the arrow.
