Cable Socks

These cable socks are used for conductor and synthetic rope pulls.

A type cable socks are colour coded for ease of identification – recommended for overhead transmission and distribution line pulling projects or any other cable pulling applications with heavy load ratings such as electric railroad, rigging lines and construction pulls.

Cable socks are suitable for conductor diameter range 5-50mm with maximum approximate break load of 30,455 kgs.

Complete range of overhead line conductor and underground cable pulling socks are available for LV 33kV, MV 66kV 132kV and HV 275-400kV power networks.

Cable Pulling Socks

When pulling synthetic rope it is recommended to use a Slingco Feed tube to simplify the process of inserting the rope into the cable sock – the cable socks are made of galvanised steel. To avoid the effects of torsion a line pulling swivel that rotates under load should be used with the cable pulling grips.
