The OS type of cable socks are similar to the SE single eye cable sock but used when offset positioning is required during the cable pulling installation – the offset eye cable socks are Cable Socks - Offset Eye Grip recommended for pulling slack out of cables and conductors that have been pulled. Used also to remove underground cables when an exposed open end of cable is available to attach to the sock.

Cable Socks

Cable socks with offset eye grip design are available in both single and double lattice weave in both galvanised steel (10-140mm with approximate maximum break load 7,110kgs) and 316 stainless steel (10-229mm with approximate maximum break load 8,928kgs).

The following tables enable the selection and specification of the correct type of offset eye cable socks – contact us should you require any technical support to select the correct sock for pulling and laying LV MV HV cables or for stringing overhead line transmission conductors.

Call us should you require technical support to select the correct cable sock for LV MV HV underground cable pulling into substations (11kV 33kV 66kV 132kV) or overhead line stringing onto transmission towers up to 400kV.
