Pfisterer 827 228 002 is a medium voltage cable joint used for the connection of MV cables in underground applications – for use underground or offshore cable installations, the bell flanges of the separable connectors must be made of a special material. Single-pole, resistant to outdoor, soil-resistant, offshore-proof, plug-in type MV joint. The single-pole connection joint is supplied as factory-built by Pfisterer, the contact bushings are integrated into the soil-resistant insulating body. The connection is established by inserting the CONNEX separable connector.

The screen connection inside of the joint represents a cable screen up to max. 95 mm². Soil sensitivity cannot be eliminated at size 3 (Shrinking on a heat-shrink tubing is not possible with a size 3 joint).

The connecting rail of the cable screen in the joint is insulated from the joint shield and thus insulated from the bell flange. For cable sheath fault testing, a test voltage can be applied between the cable screen and earth potential/joint shield.
