Cable Socks

These cable socks are made from galvanised steel and are available in short and longer length versions.

RT type cable socks features a double weave construction for medium to heavy cable pulling applications in underground power and MV-HV substation installations.

Single eye double weave cable socks are available in sizes 13-178mm with a minimum breakload of up to 19,510kg.

Warning: the Slingco RT type rotating eye grip does not revolve under load – the rotating eye does not replace the need for a swivel.

When pulling synthetic rope it is recommended to use a Slingco Feed tube to simplify the process of inserting the rope into the cable sock – the cable socks are made of galvanised steel. To avoid the effects of torsion a line pulling swivel that rotates under load should be used with the cable pulling grips.

Complete range of overhead line conductor and underground cable pulling socks are available for LV 33kV, MV 66kV 132kV and HV 275-400kV power networks.
