Lightning Protection for Airfield Lighting Circuits

The 2DCAFL4 is designed to provide lightning protection for constant current circuits that supply power to airfield lighting systems, safeguarding them from both direct and indirect lightning strikes. Its terminal design ensures easy retrofitting into existing circuits. The device features two metal oxide surge arresters connected in parallel with the supply cables, offering protection.

The terminals are engineered to allow existing cables to be conveniently cut and connected to the device without the need for splicing or using a spur. For optimal performance, the 2DCAFL4 should be installed close to the control equipment in an area with a reliable earth connection.
