Nexans GTS1

33kV Heatshrink Cable Joints

Nexans GTS1 is a heat shrink cable joint suitable for jointing, connection and repair of MV HV single core polymeric cable (XLPE) to be directly buried under or above ground.

These 33kV cable joints are suitable for use with copper tape screened as well as copper wire screened cables – no further earthing device is necessary. The heat shrinkable cable joint is fully screened and fully submersible and can be supplied with all common types of conductor connectors.

Nexans GTS1 Heat Shrink Joints

Nexans GTS heat shrink cable joints meet the requirements of CENELEC HD 629.2 and IEC 60502-4 standards.

KIT CONTENTS

Nexans GTS 33kV cable joint kit contains:

  • 1 x Stress control mastic “MNAC”
  • 1 x Sealing mastic “NGAF”
  • 1 x Black stress control tube “GT1”
  • 1 x Anti-tracking tube “GT2” (only for 36GTS1)
  • 1 x Dual wall heat shrink tube “GT25”
  • 1 x Overall protection tube “GT4”
  • 1 x Roll of tinned copper mesh tape

The jointing kit also comprises cable jointing installation instructions, semi-conductive tape, adhesive tape, a copper braid and a ferrule for the screen wire connection.
