The Sudkabel HV Cable Terminations for Oil Filled Transformers and Gas Insulated Switchgears are built-in dry compact HV Cable Terminations consisting of two variants, offering high voltage and extra high voltage operating voltages from 72.5kV up to 550kV. Engineered to provide safe, efficient, and space-optimised high voltage connections, the EHSVS HV Cable Termination is designed for Gas Insulated Switchgears, used in SF6 enclosures and the EHTVS HV Cable Termination, designed for use in Oil Filled Transformer enclosures.
Sudkabel Dry Compact HV Cable Terminations are available with a variety of insulator types (Types G, D, A/B, E/F & C), these EHV HV Cable Terminations are built to the exacting Power Cable Standards of IEC 62271-209 and are compatible with a wide range of conductor sizes, providing flexibility to a number of electrical application areas, such as Gas Insulated Switchgear, Oil Filled Transformers, HV Cable Connections in Substations and Turnkey Energy Projects. All insulators types for the above-mentioned compact terminations – with the exception of Type C – can be used for the cable enclosures in both SF6 enclosures as well as in Oil Filled Transformer enclosures in compliance with EN 50299-1/-2 (or similar) using the same pluggable parts. The HV Cable Terminations for Oil Filled Transformers are labelled EHTVS, the only technical difference being one or two additional corona shield(s).
