Pfisterer 2Direkt
The safe supply of energy is based on functional supply networks made up of an array of reliable individual components. With almost 100 years of contact technology experience PFISTERER can offer innovations for easy and safe installation these can be found in every 2DIREKT terminal block. The 2DIREKT terminal clamp by PFISTERER is a solution for cable connections to transformers and busbars.
The 2DIREKT clamp is connected directly to the distribution transformer. It screws onto the transformer bushing and is secured via a clamping groove and clamping screw. This reduces the amount of installation work and the risk of connection errors.
No cable lugs have to pressed on, and no wire-end ferrules have to be fitted. There are fewer points of contact and transition resistance is minimised.
The 2DIREKT A version allows cables to be connected directly to busbars. Fine grooves on the underside of the clamp enables connection without additional components directly on the busbar.
2DIREKT from PFISTERER Product Portfolio
The 2DIREKT portfolio offers solutions for connections to transformers and busbars:

- Connection of up to eight conductors
- Without grooving on the lower side of the clamp
2DIREKT A
- Connection directly on a bus bar
- With through hole, threaded hole or stud bolt
- Connection of up to two conductors
- Special contact grooving on the lower side of the clamp

Application Photos of DIREKT
2DIREKT – Connection on a transformer bushing, partly with ball fixed points and covers
2DIREKT A – Connection on a safety edge or bus bar
One clamp for all applications
Benefits
- Direction of conductor outlet horizontal or vertical
- Connection without wire end ferrule
- Small space requirement
- Large cross-sectional areas
- Releasable connection
- Low contact resistance (two transitions points)
- Spring Contact
- Contact screw:
■ Rotatable pressure plate
Contact force independent of conductor material (same friction partners)
Prevents damage and shearing of fine-stranded single wires during assembly
■ Zinc-based coating
Setting of defined rubbing properties
Similar effect as greasing
Allocation Bolt Size/Current/Apparent Power
- Orientation guide for the allocation of the bolt size to the current and the transformer size
- Max. Current standardised according to DIN EN 50386
- Apparent power calculated to DIN EN 50464
Bolt Size | Current (A) | Max. Apparent power with 3 phases – 400V (kVA) |
M12 | 250 | 160 |
M20 | 630 | 400 |
M30x2 | 1250 | 800 |
M42x3 | 2000 | 1250 |
M48x3 | 3150 | 2000 |
M55x3 | 4000 | 2500 |
Accessories For 2DIREKT
Ball Fixed Points for 2DIREKT*
- The Ball Point is used for Allowing Safety equipment to clamp onto when Earthing to ground, or short circuiting.
- Function of a contact screw (Pressure plate on the lower side)
- Usage in bare conditions only with a conductor or spacer (623409002) underneath
*Threads of the ball fixed point must be greased with technical Vaseline during assembly! Short-circuit current for D20=23,7 kA/1s und D25=29,6 kA/1s
Matching Covers
■ Advantages of the covers
- Provides protection against contact (IP2X)
- Keeps dust mainly out
- Protects from the weathering
■ Selection of covers depending on
- Clamp
- Bolt size (diameter)
- Number of conductors
- Application with/without ball fixed points
- Indoor or outdoor application
- Vertical or horizontal cable outlet
Matching Covers
Soft Covers
- Suitable for indoor and outdoor usage, provided the cover allows it (Outdoor application only with horizontal cable outlet)
- NOTE: One cover can be suitable for several numbers of conductors. Depending on the clamp, a separate foam insert (e.g. 331348002) must be used
Hard Covers
■ For indoor usage
- Transparent cap can be mounted vertically or horizontally
- In principle, horizontal and vertical cable outlet possible (possibly restricted by ball fixed point)
■ For outdoor usage
- Closed at the top
- Only horizontal cable outlet possible
Matching Covers With Earthing Option
Soft Covers
- For indoor and outdoor application
- Offers a flap lid for earthing
- One version with different foam inserts (331348002)
Hard Covers
- For indoor application
- With flap lid for application with ball fiex point
- Horizontal and vertical cable outlet possible in principle (With flat two-wire clamps only vertical cable outlet)
- For outdoor application
- Application with ball fixed point not possible
Matching Covers With Earthing Option
