BITNER‘s Mining Cable range includes the High Voltage Mining Cable BiTmining NTSCGEWOEU-W, operating at a rated voltage of U0 /U= 3.6kV/6kV to 18kV/30kV, purposed as a flexible power supply for use in water, based on DIN VDE 0250-813 cable standards, which covers an extensive range of power cables used across Europe and by engineers worldwide on international projects requiring reliable performance under demanding conditions.

BITNER‘s BiTmining NTSCGEWOEU-W High Voltage Power Cable can be accompanied with an extensive and complete range of low voltage, medium voltage & high voltage power cable accessories supplied by Thorne & Derrick, including MV HV Cable Joints and Terminations, Cable Glands, Cable Lugs, Cable Duct, Feeder Pillars and Cable Cleats, Clamps & Hangers, ultimately allowing for seamless connection to electrical infrastructure, in order to deliver reliable power transmission. BiTmining NTSCGEWOEU-W Application

The High Voltage Mining Cable BiTmining NTSCGEWOEU-W is for use in open-pit mining facilities, with a maximum permissible water temperature of 40°C, the product designed for operation in water and exposed to high mechanical stresses, e.g. connection to dredgers, floating docks, submersible pumps, etc. This mining cable is suitable for works in sewage, salt and brackish water.

♦ DIN VDE 0250-813 Standards

Covers the construction of cables, wires and flexible cords for power installations. It applies to rubber training cables with a rated voltage of 0.6kV/1kV to 20kV/35kV. The rubber compounds used will comply with DIN VDE 0207 and the standard is generally accepted as the standard for tough rubber sheathed flexible reeling cables. Applications include mining environments and guiding pulleys (cable cars) or reel cables.

High Voltage Mining Cable Construction Information

Conductor: Finely stranded class 5 (EN 60228, DIN VDE 0295) tinned, electrolytic copper.

Insulation: EPR compound with improved electrical and mechanical characteristics (DIN VDE 0207, part 20).

Arrangement of protective-earth conductor: Protective-earth conductor split into 3 in the outer interstices.

Electrical field control: Inner and outer layer of semi conductive rubber.

Core colours: Natural colouring with black semi conductive rubber with printed white digits 1-3.

Core arrangement: Three main conductors laid-up with protective-earth conductor split into 3 in the other interstices.

Wrapping: Semi conductive, reinforced, swellable, binding and separating tape waterproof.

Inner sheath: EPR compound type GM1b (acc. to DIN VDE 0201, Part 21).

Outer sheath: 5GM3 compound with improved mechanical characteristics (acc. to DIN VDE 0207, Part 21), colour: red.
