The US10 tool provides a chamfer to the insulation on primary power cables as part of the cable preparation for elbow installation, cable splices, and terminations.

The innovative US10 Cable Insulation Chamfering Tool utilises a size adjustment clamping system to quickly and easily adjust and lock onto the insulation. Its compact, low friction, thermoplastic V-jaw construction and PTFE-coated aluminium frame provides a stable and precise clamping platform in any space.

The tool produces a precise chamfer on all XLPE insulated cables, and most EPR insulated cables with insulation diameter range 0.50” – 2.36” (12.7 – 60.0 mm).

US10 cable tools manufactured by Ripley are used by MV-HV jointers to remove the insulation to prepare the cable ready for the installation of joints, terminations or connectors.
