Plastic Pipe Penetration & Sealing System

The CSD NOFIRNO RISE Ultra Crusher Plastic Pipe Penetration System offers fire protection while preserving the watertight and gastight integrity of bulkheads and decks when plastic pipes are routed through them. This system is also capable of accommodating plastic pipes alongside cables and metallic pipes within the same penetration.

Certified for use in A60 Fire-Rated Sealing applications, the CSD NOFIRNO system has been proven to remain watertight even after undergoing the A60 fire test. The “A” Class designation indicates that the material or structure is fire-resistant, while the “60” means that the component can withstand fire for a minimum of 60 minutes without losing its ability to prevent the passage of flames, smoke, or heat.

In collaboration with CSD Sealing Systems, Thorne & Derrick offers an extensive range of products to seal cable ducts designed to deliver gas-tight, watertight, fire-resistant and rodent protection sealing for cable duct entries and pipe penetrations in industrial and hazardous area zones in both onshore and offshore solutions.

Flexible Plastic Pipe Penetration Sealing System

For A0 – A60, Watertight & Gastight Ratings

The NOFIRNO RISE ULTRA Plastic Pipe Sealing System is a highly adaptable solution for sealing both straight and angled pipe penetrations, and can accommodate multiple pipe runs simultaneously. It is specifically designed to ensure the safety of vessels by providing fire protection and keeping bulkheads and decks gas- and watertight when pipes need to pass through them.

The system consists of three primary components:

NOFIRNO Sealant – A silicone-based, fire-resistant and water-repellent sealant.
RISE ULTRA Expanding Crusher Sleeves – These sleeves expand to form a tight seal.
NOFIRNO Multi-Filler Sleeves – These are supplied in bonded strips, making the system easy to install.

This simplicity in design ensures that the Cable & Pipe Sealing System is both efficient and reliable in protecting critical structural elements.

NOFIRNO | Multi Cable Transit Sealing Systems

NOFIRNO from CSD Sealing Systems are multi-cable penetrations providing a high-performance alternative to the casting compounds and cable transit block systems used in fire-rated and watertight bulkheads and decks. The RISE NOFIRNO sealing system has been successfully tested according to IMO Resolution A.754(18) with sets of bundled cables – especially in the case of cable ducting larger amounts of small diameter LAN cables a lot of time saving is obtained since not each and every cable has to be sleeved with a RISE insert sleeve.

The number of wraps required shown above is the minimum required to meet the certification requirements. When using the wrap, if the Max air gap is larger than that shown in the last column, NOFIRNO filler sleeves should also be installed to reduce the annular gap or alternatively can be completely filled using the wrap.
