3M Scotchlok 558 IDC Electrical Connectors connects a tap wire to a run (through) wire while insulating the connection. The connector is polypropylene insulated and self stripping. These 3M Insulation Displacement Connectors or IDCs are suitable for control circuit wiring, fixture wiring, appliance wiring, signal and PA systems and automotive/boat/RV wiring.
Scotchlok 558 IDC Connectors from 3M are 600V rated for building wire and 1000V rated for signs, fixtures and luminaires. They are able to withstand temperatures of 221°F (105°C). The connectors are UL Listed, CSA Certified and RoHS 2011/65/EU Compliant. – the Scotchlok connectors are compatible with the 3M Electrical range of Scotchcast cable joints.
