CAMF5/55-160-BBCF are multi function cable jointing tools manufactured by Alroc and used by MV-HV jointers to remove the semi-con screen and XLPE insulation to prepare the cable ready for the installation of joints, terminations or connectors. The CAMF5/55-160-BBCF allows the user to remove the bonded semiconductor and remove the XLPE insulation from medium and high voltage cables including 66kV, 132kV, 245kV and 275kV.

Bonded semiconductor removal is a steady process shaping the cable round the insulation with a constant diameter over the insulation which in turn prevents the blade from digging into the insulation. Insulation removal has a back iron which helps the user to tune the pitch of the cable jointing tool making the rotation of the tool easy when removing the insulation.

The CAMF5/55-160-BBCF Preparation Tool enables the Jointer:
– To remove the bonded semiconductor
– To remove the insulation
