Euromold 400PB -10SA Surge Arrester 11kV 24kV
Euromold 400PB is a screened surge arrester designed to protect medium voltage components, including transformers, equipment, cable and accessories from high voltage surges resulting from lightning or switching – specified to terminate and connect medium/high voltage cables in the following voltage classes:
- 6/10 (12kV)
- 6.35/11 (12kV)
- 8.7/15 (17.5kV)
- 12/20 (24kV)
- 12.7/22 (24kV)
- 18/30 (36) kV
- 19/33 (36) kV
- 20.8/36 (42) kV
Euromold 400PB plug-in surge arrester can be used with Euromold 400TB and 440TB tee connectors – all suitable for use with Interface C Symmetrical type bushings on SF6 gas-insulated switchgear.
This surge arrester is a metal oxide varistor surge arrester in an elbow configuration that is tested for AC withstand and partial discharge prior to leaving the factory.
Connector accessories include: dead-end receptacle, dead-end plug, stand-off plug and earthing plug for type C interfaces.

WHY INSTALL SURGE ARRESTERS?
Surge arresters provide primary circuit protection to MV-HV cable and power systems against high voltage surges caused by atmospheric (lightning) and switching over voltages.
