Euromold 450SR Straight Connector 11kV 24kV

Euromold 450SR is a screened separable straight connector specified to terminate and connect medium/high voltage cables in the following voltage classes:

• 6/10 (12) kV
• 6.35/11 (12) kV
• 8.7/15 (17.5) kV
• 12/20 (24) kV
• 12.7/22 (24) kV

The Euromold 450SR straight connector with 630A current rating is designed for Interface A and covers voltages from 12kV to 24kV with a maximum conductor size of 300sqmm.

Euromold 450SR plug-in straight connectors can be supplied as a tee connector (480TB, 484TB or 489TB)  or a coupling connector (800PB, 804PB or 809PB) and with surge arresters (800SA or 300SA) – all suitable for use with Interface C Compact type bushings on SF6 gas-insulated switchgear.

Euromold 450SR straight connectors are designed to connect all polymeric screened cables to suit CENELEC Interface Type C (630amp) equipment bushings up to 24kV.

Designed to connect polymeric insulated cables with a copper wire screen but can be used on wire armoured, copper tape screen cables with the use of additional screen earth kits and accessories.

Connector accessories include: dead-end receptacle, dead-end plug, stand-off plug and earthing plug for type C Compact interfaces.

Euromold 450SR Straight 11kV 24kV – Design

Separable straight connector comprising:

1. Conductive EPDM insert.
2. Conductive EPDM jacket.
3. Insulating EPDM layer moulded between the insert and the jacket.
4. Type C – 630 A interface as described by CENELEC EN 50180 and 50181.
5. Conductor connector assembly.
6. Retaining ring.
7. Cable reducer.

The thick conductive EPDM jacket provides a safe to touch screen which ensures safety for personnel, cables and electrical equipment in medium/high voltage installations.
