Euromold 300PBM Coupling Connector 11kV 33kV

Euromold 300PB is a screened separable coupling connector (bolted type) for dual cable management specified to terminate and connect medium/high voltage cables in the following voltage classes:

  • 6/10 (12) kV
  • 6.35/11 (12) kV
  • 8.7/15 (17.5) kV
  • 12/20 (24) kV
  • 12.7/22 (24) kV
  • 18/30 (36) kV
  • 19/33 (36) kV

The Euromold 300PB coupling connector with 800A current rating is designed for Interface C and covers voltages from 12kV to 36kV with a maximum conductor size of 300sqmm.

Euromold 300PB plug-in coupling connectors can be supplied as a straight connector (450SR) or a tee connector (430TB) and with surge arresters (800SA or 300SA) – all suitable for use with Interface C Compact type bushings on SF6 gas-insulated switchgear.

Designed to connect polymeric insulated cables with a copper wire screen but can be used on wire armoured, copper tape screen cables with the use of additional screen earth kits and accessories.

Each separable connector is tested for AC withstand and partial discharge prior to leaving the factory.

Connector accessories include: dead-end receptacle, dead-end plug, stand-off plug and earthing plug for type C Compact interfaces.

Euromold 300PBM Coupling 11kV 33kV – Design

Separable coupling connector comprising:

  1. Interface designed to fit 430TB connector.
  2. Bus for 300PBM.
  3. Conductive EPDM insert.
  4. Insulating EPDM layer moulded between the insert and the jacket.
  5. Conductive EPDM jacket.
  6. Conductive EPDM cap.
  7. Basic insulating plug (with VD point).
  8. Conductor connector (hexagonal crimping, deep indent crimping or bolted).
  9. Cable reducer.
  10. Earthing lead.

The screen break design enables cable outer sheath testing without removing or dismantling the connector.

Select the Euromold the ordering part number which gives you the best centring of your core insulation diameter and substitute X using table X, according to the conductor size (sqmm) and type (copper or aluminium). Order Euromold MT connector kit to enable termination of copper tape screened MV-HV cables in voltage range 11kV (12kV) to 42kV – suitable for copper wire screened cables.

The complete Euromold 300PB coupling connector kit comprises the following components – cable lubricant, field control mastic, installation rod, installation instructions and crimp chart.
