Heat Shrink Cable Caps 3M SKE 61/158
3M SKE 61/158 are cable caps with an application range of 63-126sqmm outside diameter cables and designed for quick and easy insulation and sealing of cable end or crutches providing resistance to abrasion, weathering and chemical attack – suitable for LV (Low Voltage, MV (Medium Voltage and HV (High Voltage) cable end capping and seals.
Cable caps are suitable for use with de-energised (“dead”) cables: LV 600V 1000V | MV 11kV 33kV | HV 66kV 132kV – refer to cable abandonment kits for temporary or permanent sealing and grounding of LV cables up to 3.3kV subject to potential future energisation.
To seal the cable crotch/crutch area of multicore cables, 3 core and 4 core, refer to cable breakouts for reliable electrical insulation and environmental protection of cables.
The operating temperature range of the 3M SKE 4/10 heat shrink cable caps is from -55ºC (-67ºF) to 110ºC (230ºF), with a heat shrinking temperature minimum of 121ºC (250ºF) installed using heat shrink gas torches.
