Heat Shrink Cable Gland HCS1 is suitable for all types of non armoured power and signal cables and cable glanding of MV and HV applications – the cable glands are typically used to support and gland unarmoured power cables including Triplex and 11kV/33kV (BS7870).

For sealing and terminating medium/high voltage steel wire armoured (SWA – multicore) or aluminium wire armoured (AWA – single core) cables please see bolt-on, “top-hat” design 11kV cable glands.

The HCS1 cable entry seal gland provides a watertight, fume-tight seal up to 12mm cable outside diameter where cables enter junction boxes, bulkheads or other electrical enclosures, such as cable boxes.

The cable glands are manufactured in accordance with MIL-1-81765/1 and MIL-1-23053/15 specifications and provide a flame retarded adhesive lined body along with a male threaded part to enable fixture to the gland plate. Heat shrink cable glands are complete with brass threaded adaptors, locknuts and fibre washers to suit all power, signalling and switching equipment and are available for the watertight sealing and mechanical retention of cables up to 70mm outside diameter.
