11kV 17.5kV 33kV Terminations – Heat Shrink 3 Core XLPE Outdoor – Nexans TTGE3

Nexans TTGE3 is a heat shrink cable termination for use outdoors and exposed to prolonged sunshine and other weather conditions –  heat shrink is manufactured and tested to survive relative humidity, salinity and atmospheric pollution.

The heat shrinkable terminations are able to connect and terminate armoured 3-core polymeric (XLPE EPR) insulated cable with copper tape or wire screens to medium/high voltage electrical equipment or overhead poles and are widely used in power utilities and in industrial applications up to 33kV.

Heat shrink terminations meet the requirements of CENELEC HD 629.1 and IEC 60502-1 for the termination of medium/high voltage cables in the following voltage classes:

  • 6/10 (12) kV
  • 6.35/11 (12) kV
  • 8.7/15 (17.5) kV
  • 12/20 (24) kV
  • 12.7/22 (24) kV
  • 18/30 (36) kV
  • 19/33 (36) kV

  • Red sealing mastic “MBA”
  • Black stress control mastic “MACDC”
  • Black stress control heat shrink tube “GT1”
  • Red antitracking heat shrink tube “GT2”
  • Anti-tracking rain sheds
  • 3 core heat shrink cable break-out “36TTE”
  • Flexible tinned copper braid

Rain Sheds – the heat shrink rain sheds (red) are lined and coated with anti-tracking erosion resistant adhesive mastic used as a creepage extender on medium voltage outdoor cable terminations.
