The Mtag voltage detector from PBwel is designed for “proving dead” or confirming that nominal voltage is absent on a circuit of an HV distribution system between 1kV and 69kV.

Pbwel Mtag voltage detector is part of the electrical safety range will detect any nominal voltage in contact with the part of the installation to be tested on overhead lines and substations. It will not indicate voltage presence when detecting induced voltages in order to allow grounding operations.

The visual indication is visible in all usual working environments, in sunlight or fog, with a wide angle of visibility and from the side thanks to an optic ring.
The 100 dB sound signal is designed to remains audible even in traffic or strong wind, thanks to its acoustic “horn”.

Direct access to the battery and sealed electronics compartment. When the battery is replaced, this design prevents the following:

1-69kV Voltage Detector

This Go NoGo Contact voltage detector is designed to ensure that nominal voltage is actually absent on a circuit of an HV distribution system. It features two operating ranges which are calibrated according to IEC recommendations between 1kV and 69kV.

PBwel Mtag DR dual range detector acts as 2 voltage detectors with 2 separated ranges: lower range and upper range.

The presence of nominal voltage within the lower calibrated range (3kV – 10kV) is indicated by two red LED lights and a beeping sound. The presence of nominal voltage within the higher calibrated range (10kV – 36kV) is indicated by four red LEDs and a beeping sound.

25kV Voltage Detector

These Mtag voltage detectors are designed for “proving dead” or making sure that nominal voltage is actually absent on a circuit in a distribution system up to 25 kV (no-voltage verification):

The device will detect any nominal voltage on overhead lines and stations.
It will avoid detecting most induced voltages in order to allow grounding operations.

1 – 69kV Voltage Detector

This multi range voltage detector offers up to 3 separate ranges in 1 voltage detector – Lower range, median range and upper range.

Optimised indications can be clearly understood in all working conditions, even fog or bright sunlight.

As well as the visual indicators, there is a 100dB sound signal which can be heard over traffic as well as in high winds.

The selected voltage range is carried out and indicated as shown below:
